5. MKA SEASON CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS SERIES
5. 1. Eligibility
MKA membership is required to be eligible for Seasonal Championship Points. You must have become a club member by the third scheduled race after your first.
5.2. Championship Points Details
All scheduled Points Races count for the Midwest Karting Association Season Championship. The points are based on the following, plus number of entries per competition class, per race event.

5.2.1. Tie
In case of a tie, the competitor who has a better record of the tie‑breaker criteria below shall be awarded the better position. Once either of the tied competitors achieves a better record at any of the criteria below (in order), the tie will be considered broken and the competitor with the better record shall be awarded the better position.
Most wins throughout the Championship season.
Most 2nd place finishes throughout the Championship season.
Most 3rd place finishes throughout the Championship season. Etc. 14
5.2.3. Point Standings
Each year’s schedule will detail the number of races that will be counted towards the MKA Season Championship Series. A competitor must compete in at least half of the minimum number of points races to be eligible for a trophy at the end of the season. Any disqualification for the day, may not be used as a throw out race.
The total number of accumulated MKA Season Championship Series Points shall be posted on the MKA website: www.mkaracing.com within a reasonable time after each race event.
